Nissan’s new lineup of SUVs and crossovers covers a wide range of sizes and functionalities. Their top-of-the-line crossover, the Nissan Murano, lacks in no department. Equipped with Nissan’s newest and most innovative technologies, the 2012 Murano also boasts one of the most comfortable interiors in the market.
This video guide to the all-new Murano gives you an inside look at this truly flexible crossover. Design quality does not stop at the leather-trimmed seats and steering wheel—amenities such as entertainment screens on the back of each front-seat headrest make the experience enjoyable for everyone. Nissan’s lineup delivers a range of vehicles and features some of the most interesting models in every category. Crossovers have become a particularly large market because they offer utility and high fuel economy. The 2012 Nissan Juke is a crossover that raises the bar by adding sportiness to the mixture. Here are just a few ways in which the Nissan Juke has redefined and reinvigorated the standard crossover:
Impressive Design
When designing the Juke, Nissan’s engineers prioritized aerodynamics. This vehicle’s sporty look comes naturally and matches its performance characteristics. The Juke’s aggressive front-end is accented with rally-inspired front lights and sharp turn signals. At first glance, the vehicle appears to have two doors, giving it the appearance of a coupe. In reality, its four fully functional doors allow passengers to enter and exit easily. The front seats feature a sport design with bolstering that holds you tight during spirited driving and offers a relaxed driving experience when cruising. The rear seats are no less comfortable and fold down to give extra storage room. The vertically opening rear hatch gives access to this space and the hidden under-floor storage area.
High Performance
The Juke delivers sporty performance through a combination of advanced systems. The standard 17-inch wheels are each separately controlled with torque-vectoring, all-wheel drive technology. This technology uses four sensors throughout the vehicle to calculate which wheels need the most power in different situations. This power is channeled through the standard continuously variable transmission or the available 6-speed manual transmission. The 1.6-liter, turbo-charged, 4-cylinder engine produces 188-horsepower and can propel the Juke from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds.
Advanced Technology
Nissan’s I-CON system is one of the most innovative technologies available for any vehicle. It allows the driver to change between Normal, Sport, and Eco modes. Sport mode adjusts a number of vehicle systems for a spirited driving experience and displays the turbocharger’s boost in pounds per square-inch. The Eco mode does quite the opposite, setting vehicle options to provide the highest fuel economy and display fuel economy statistics.
